Thanks, Nick. I'm still working on trying to make the image quality better. The film-editing programmes on Mac computers seem to give better results than Windows Movie Maker on a PC - which is annoying for us PC users...

I am thinking of getting a mac for that reason
maybe I will get the adobe movie programme though
my offering here has had a few views but the organisers are very very slow to respond to emails

I'd be interested to know how Adobe works, Nick. I think it would be possible to make really beautiful videos along these lines - one just needs to be able to afford the technology. The next step would then be to add moving images. I wonder if you saw the one I did of 'May Month' on this site? I experimented with adding some lettering at the end, and layered some birdsong over the top. I liked your 911 Rap, and I imagine a lot of other people did too.
Thank you, Jenn, for your supportive comments. It always does a poet's heart good to hear something positive! I think this is potentially such a powerful site; I just wish it were possible to get a bigger culture of commenting going. I wonder whether it would be possible to have a little comment counter beside the thumbnail of the video before you open it? If there was one of those, people would be able to see more readily that their video had received comments, and then they might respond in turn. I am sure there are people on here whose videos have received comments from me, and they haven't responded just because they haven't clicked "Subscribe via email", and they haven't noticed a comment has been made.

I move at the end of the month
as soon as I am settled I will trial the adobe software and see if it is the answer for me
I also need to get better stuff for sound recording
